What you can't see in these photos is my distinctly bad judgement of weather, and thanks to the wizardry of Photoshop, the blinding shine that was bouncing off my nose and forehead thanks to said poor judgement. (To put it bluntly, I was a sweaty mess) Despite creating a small and easy Copenhagen packing guide on the blog, (see here) 2 hours before we departed for Luton airport last Sunday, I panic-packed! That's right, in 2 hours my indecisive brain had to pick five days worth of outfits. (because who wants to be an outfit repeater on holiday right?) Round of applause to Dean for rescuing me from the fetal position I had pulled myself into on the bed in a metaphorical drunken stupor of black trousers and white shirts.
Regardless of my feeble packing skills, I did remember to bring with me a bit of Danish design. The Willow sweatshirt from Wood Wood. Since the demise of a faithful basic grey sweater from & Other Stories I once owned (an oil dribble ruined it) my search for a replacement had been relatively fruitless until this bonded, boxy jersey thing caught my eye. We've been inseparable ever since.
Let's not beat around the bush this outfit is safe. A grey sweater, white shirt, black trousers paired with a white trainer doesn't exactly jump fences, but these are solid pieces and for a day spent biking around Copenhagen followed by a flight back home, they work. But more importantly, I feel comfortable in them.
With Wood Wood's urban roots and street culture influences Superkilen seemed the perfect fitting location to shoot this outfit.
My watch collection is rapidly growing out of control and while I don't need anymore I can never resist a new minimal timepiece. Shout out to Cluse for this aptly suited watch that accompanied me on my trip, designed across the water from Copenhagen in Amsterdam; Cluse offers sophisticated and affordable watches all with interchangeable straps.
Copenhagen pictures/shopping brags to follow.
