Apparently, I lied when I said I wasn't a 'fast fashion' advocate. I found myself on the Zara website recently umming and ahhing over these pompom trousers. They couldn't scream 'Celine rip off' anymore if they tried, (along with 99.9% of Zara right now) but something compelled me to try them. Maybe it's because they aren't too 'showy' or maybe it's simply because at the time of purchase I felt tired of my workwear wardrobe so these seemed fun and radically different from any other trousers I own. While they are different to my go to, Topshop's cigarette offering, I'm still on the fence about them. I don't feel 100% me in them, but every once in a while I get this need to step outside of my sartorial comfort zone. Almost like an act of rebellion against one's style and self, just to check that I can, only to revert back to what I know works for me. I can't decide if I adore the trousers or loathe them and their clown-like appearance. The two new Whistles additions, on the other hand, are already firm favourites and are here for the long haul.
