AI-powered pet tracker launches at MWC 2025 with satellite connectivity
A new pet tracker with satellite technology, designed to keep pets connected even in the most remote locations, has been unveiled at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025.
The SATELLAI Tracker, developed by AI-integrated pet technology firm SATELLAI, is the world’s first always-connected pet tracking device powered by satellite communications. The device aims to provide pet owners with real-time tracking, even in off-the-grid locations where traditional mobile networks fail.
Global tracking beyond mobile networks
Equipped with the Qualcomm® 9205S Modem, the SATELLAI Tracker operates using multiple satellite positioning systems, including GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, and QZSS. It connects to more than 680 networks across 180 countries, offering precise location tracking in remote wilderness, mountainous terrain, and dense forests—far beyond the reach of conventional cellular networks.
The device utilises Skylo’s satellite communication service, extending connectivity to areas where mobile signals are unavailable. This ensures that pets can be monitored in real-time, regardless of their location.
Solar-powered for extended outdoor use
Designed for adventurers and working dogs, the SATELLAI Tracker features integrated solar charging, significantly extending its battery life. With a high-efficiency solar panel, the device can operate for up to seven days without requiring a recharge. The continuous solar replenishment reduces downtime and makes it ideal for pet owners who spend extended periods in outdoor environments.
AI-driven health monitoring
Beyond tracking location, the device incorporates artificial intelligence to monitor a pet’s health and activity. It can detect irregular behaviour patterns and provide personalised insights via its mobile app. The system supports multiple pets and users, allowing seamless monitoring for households with more than one animal.
Built for rugged conditions
The SATELLAI Tracker is designed to withstand extreme conditions, with an IP68 waterproof and dustproof rating. This ensures that it remains operational in harsh weather, rugged terrains, and wet environments, making it suitable for pets that accompany their owners on outdoor adventures.
Launch and availability
The device is being showcased at MWC 2025 at the Qualcomm booth (#3E10, Hall 3). SATELLAI has confirmed that the tracker will be available for purchase from June 2025.
