Campbell West, a mechanical and electrical engineering firm based in Berkshire, is celebrating a highly successful end to its financial year, marked by significant growth in revenue and an expansion of its workforce. The company reported a 53.84% increase in revenue over the past 12 months, bringing total income to £10 million, with further growth projected in the coming year.
The sharp rise in revenue has been largely attributed to the expansion of Campbell West’s electrical division and an increase in the size and scale of its projects. The company is now targeting £13 million in revenue for the next financial year. A notable highlight during the past year was securing a £6 million contract to provide building services infrastructure for the ophthalmology department and other refurbishments at Ashford and St. Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Surrey.
Co-owner Steven Campbell praised the team’s efforts, noting that the company’s success was driven not only by improved market conditions but also by the firm’s skilled and motivated workforce. “The team has worked incredibly hard to deliver high-quality services to our clients, and their dedication is a big reason for our growth,” said Mr Campbell. “The ability to offer a single point of contact for both mechanical and electrical services has also been a major factor in setting us apart from our competitors.”
As part of its expansion, Campbell West has bolstered its workforce by hiring seven new members, including Estimators, a Quantity Surveyor, Financial Assistants, and Project Managers. These additions are part of a broader strategy to increase capacity and take on larger projects, a move that has contributed significantly to the company’s revenue growth.
“We’ve also restructured the business internally and made substantial investments in training and development,” Mr Campbell explained. “This has allowed us to enhance our expertise and take on more complex and larger-scale projects, which has directly led to our increased revenues.”
Founded in 2017 by Steven Campbell and Daniel West, who met while working as apprentices, Campbell West initially focused on the healthcare sector. Over time, the company has expanded its operations to serve a variety of industries, including local government, education, data centres, workspaces, industrial buildings, and large residential projects.
Looking ahead, Campbell West has ambitious plans for continued growth, with a focus on further expanding its reach into new sectors while maintaining its reputation for high-quality service delivery. The company remains committed to investing in its workforce and building on the strong foundation it has established in its first six years.
In addition to its financial growth, Campbell West is positioning itself to take on more large-scale projects in the coming year, with the goal of reaching £13 million in revenue by the end of the next financial cycle.
