GoDaddy has made a dramatic return to Super Bowl advertising after an eight-year hiatus, debuting a new ad featuring GoDaddy Airo® and two-time EMMY® award-nominated actor Walton Goggins. The ad, titled “Act Like You Know,” showcases how GoDaddy’s AI-powered platform empowers entrepreneurs by turning small business ideas into polished, professional ventures.
GoDaddy’s new product, GoDaddy Airo®, helps entrepreneurs establish their online presence by generating domain names, logos, fully built websites, marketing content, social media assets, and e-commerce capabilities. The collaboration with Goggins highlights how the AI technology can guide a small business owner through the steps of creating a brand, with Goggins’s Walton Goggins Goggle Glasses brand serving as the perfect example.
“GoDaddy Airo was designed to help entrepreneurs feel confident and empowered, even if they don’t know all the steps to building a business,” said GoDaddy Chief Marketing Officer, Fara Howard. “We knew Walton would be a great partner because of his passion for entrepreneurship, and he really brought that spirit to life. This campaign shows that with the right tools, anyone can build a business and feel like they know what they’re doing.”
In the commercial, Goggins humorously acknowledges his own struggles as an entrepreneur. The ad opens with a close-up of Goggins admitting, “Actors. We can make you believe we know what we’re doing, when in fact, we do not.” Several scenes follow, where Goggins hilariously portrays various roles—an oblivious detective, an astronaut who accidentally launches a fellow astronaut into space, and a race car driver driving backwards—emphasising how he can convincingly fake confidence in any role.
The ad then transitions to Goggins in his office, surrounded by boxes of his product, Walton Goggins Goggle Glasses. He admits, “I have no idea what I’m doing… but GoDaddy Airo® does,” before proudly showcasing his website, logo, and social media content—all created with the help of GoDaddy’s AI-powered platform. Goggins delivers the punchline, “With GoDaddy Airo, it’s like you know what you’re doing.”
The 30-second spot is scheduled to air during the two-minute warning of the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl on February 9. It is also available on GoDaddy’s YouTube, X, Instagram, and Facebook channels, and a longer version of the ad can be found on YouTube. The Super Bowl spot marks the start of GoDaddy’s year-long, multi-channel marketing campaign in the U.S., which will include television ads, OTT services, YouTube, social media, out-of-home marketing, and influencer campaigns.
GoDaddy’s return to the big game comes at a time when its AI-powered platform has been rapidly gaining traction, with more than 3 million users in the U.S. alone. The company hopes to continue to empower small business owners and showcase the power of GoDaddy Airo® as the ultimate tool for turning business ideas into reality.
