A Leeds entrepreneur is making waves in the coffee industry with the launch of Rage Coffee, a brand aimed at health-conscious coffee drinkers. Pradeep Singh Narwal, who has combined his love for coffee, sports, and marketing, has partnered with Indian cricket legend Virat Kohli to introduce the brand to the UK market.
Originally from Haryana, North India, Pradeep moved to the UK in 2018 to pursue a Master’s degree in Sports Business at Leeds Beckett University. With a background in influencer marketing at Myprotein India, he has worked with various brands and celebrities. However, it was Kohli’s association with Rage Coffee that ignited his entrepreneurial spirit.
At 35 years old, Pradeep has always been a passionate sports fan and aspired to play cricket professionally. Although he did not pursue that path, his love for the sport remains strong. His experiences growing up in Bangalore instilled in him a deep appreciation for the rich taste of filter coffee. He fondly recalls regular visits to a popular coffee stall at Bangalore airport, which became a staple in his social life.
“Bangalorean filter coffee is really amazing,” Pradeep said. “Drinking coffee was always a big part of my social life – we used to have late-night talks with friends over coffee.” However, upon moving to the UK, he found himself missing the authentic flavours he had cherished.
Now a black coffee enthusiast, Pradeep enjoys experimenting with different flavours, including butterscotch and dark chocolate. Rage Coffee caught his attention not just because of its nostalgic flavours but also due to its unique approach to health. The coffee is infused with plant-derived vitamins focusing on gut health, aiming to prevent acidity and bloating, making it a healthier alternative to traditional coffee.
“As a huge Virat Kohli fan, his involvement with the brand initially caught my interest,” Pradeep explained. “But when I tried Rage Coffee, I was amazed by its strong caffeine kick without the bitterness, and its healthier profile without artificial syrups.”
Featured in various media outlets, including Forbes and the BBC Good Food Guide, Rage Coffee prides itself on using 100% natural extracts. Each 3.25 gms serving contains 275 mg of plant extracts like L-Theanine, Ginkgo Biloba, Panax Ginseng, Bacopa Monnieri, Rhodiola Rosea, and L-Glutamine, all known for their health benefits.
Pradeep is passionate about reshaping the image of coffee, aiming to empower consumers by clearly indicating the caffeine content and ingredients in each blend. “It’s about giving people choice and control over their coffee experience,” he stated.
As he embarks on this new venture, Pradeep aims to spread awareness of Rage Coffee’s unique offerings and how they differ from traditional coffee brands. “I’m excited to build this business and help others understand what they are consuming,” he said.
With Rage Coffee, Pradeep Singh is not just introducing a new product to the market; he is also fostering a new approach to coffee consumption that prioritises health and wellness while honouring his cultural heritage.
