LG Electronics is set to unveil its latest foray into entertainment with the launch of its original series, Estate of Survival, available on Prime Video and LG Channels. The six-episode reality competition will debut in nine countries, including the U.S., Canada, Argentina, and Chile, with a unique format that sees contestants battling it out in a series of challenges to win household goods and appliances, including LG’s own cutting-edge ThinQ™-enabled products.
The premise of Estate of Survival revolves around a group of contestants living in a mansion, competing in various tasks to win home appliances and avoid elimination. Their ultimate goal is to remain in the house and walk away with the grand prize of USD $100,000. The show highlights LG’s range of innovative home products, integrating them seamlessly into the storyline as key prizes for participants.
Lyu Jae-cheol, president of LG Electronics Home Appliance & Air Solution Company, spoke about the series, saying, “An engaging and highly entertaining new reality competition show with a unique premise, Estate of Survival is the ideal platform for showcasing the latest lifestyle innovations from LG, America’s most reliable line of home appliances.”
The show also serves as a platform to showcase the convenience and smart capabilities of LG’s latest appliances, which play a central role in the competition. Viewers will be introduced to a variety of sophisticated products, including the LG InstaView™ refrigerator, featuring the company’s exclusive Craft Ice™ technology, and the CordZero™ stick vacuum. Also highlighted are the LG WashCombo™ All-in-One laundry solution and the QuadWash® Pro-equipped Smart Top Control Dishwasher, which reduces wash and dry times, all enhanced with ThinQ™ technology for effortless smart home management.
ThinQ Care™, a feature highlighted in the series, offers contestants and viewers a glimpse into LG’s vision for the future of smart living. It provides real-time alerts to prevent incorrect appliance usage and diagnostic tools designed to reduce the need for service technician visits. This reflects LG’s push towards a smart lifestyle, branded as the “Zero Labour Home,” where household tasks are made simpler and more efficient through intelligent technology.
The series will premiere on August 12 in the U.S., with the first two episodes launching on Prime Video via Prime Video Direct, followed by releases in additional countries. The show will also be available on LG’s free streaming service, LG Channels, across nine countries, including Mexico and Australia, offering LG TV owners access to the series at no additional cost. Episodes will stream weekly, with two episodes airing back-to-back on Monday nights.
In addition, Estate of Survival will be showcased on LG Channels Showcase (Channel #999), LG’s first curated streaming channel, which features fan-favourite movies and LG-exclusive content. With this new series, LG continues to merge entertainment with innovation, putting its advanced home solutions in the spotlight while offering viewers a blend of competition and lifestyle inspiration.
