Recorded Future, the world’s largest intelligence firm, has announced the official launch of its AI-driven platform, Recorded Future AI, following a successful beta phase. The platform aims to assist human analysts in defending against converging global threats, particularly within cyber and physical spaces, and influence operations. With a focus on strengthening intelligence capabilities, Recorded Future AI offers an innovative generative AI assistant designed to enhance defence operations on a global scale.
The platform, built on the Intelligence Graph, claims to hold the world’s most comprehensive intelligence database. It allows organisations to analyse vast amounts of real-time data from diverse sources, contextualising the rapidly evolving threat landscape. Recorded Future AI’s ability to swiftly interpret these threats provides defenders with situational awareness and the means to take immediate action, ensuring that intelligence efforts remain aligned with the speed of AI-driven advancements.
Recorded Future’s Co-Founder and CEO, Dr Christopher Ahlberg, commented on the urgency of adopting AI in the face of evolving threats: “As AI is woven into every facet of society, no government or organisation will be immune to its advantages and implications. The urgency for defenders to work at the pace of today’s technological advancements is only growing. Our Intelligence Cloud has been compounding in speed, all-encompassing intelligence, and the ability to offer situational awareness against global threats for over a decade. Recorded Future AI keeps defenders moving at the speed of AI.”
Having already been operational in some of the world’s leading intelligence agencies, the AI platform is now available to all human analysts, granting them access to a personal assistant capable of generating insights in real time. The technology can also integrate with other algorithms, enabling automated interaction with Recorded Future AI’s intelligence capabilities. Organisations, including entire nations, can define and map large-scale threat surfaces across both physical and cyber environments, allowing the platform to explore these complex scenarios in AI-driven analytics.
The Ukrainian government has already collaborated with Recorded Future to deploy the AI platform in support of its cyber and defence missions during the ongoing conflict with Russia. Yegor Dubynskyi, Deputy Minister for Cybersecurity at Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Transformation, praised the technology’s impact, stating: “Artificial intelligence is transforming intelligence, both for cyber security and for warfighters. In fact, it is already transforming the very nature of war and conflict, as we’ve experienced in Ukraine. Our collaboration with Recorded Future to deploy Recorded Future AI across the Ukrainian Government to support cyber and defence missions has been instrumental.”
By augmenting human intelligence with AI capabilities, Recorded Future’s latest innovation aims to empower analysts and defenders across various sectors to stay ahead of the curve in a rapidly shifting global security environment. As threats become more sophisticated and varied, the platform seeks to ensure that nations and organisations are equipped with the tools necessary to protect critical infrastructures from both physical and digital attacks.
