Roborock has retained its position as the world’s top-selling robotic vacuum cleaner (RVC) brand, according to the latest report by IDC’s Worldwide Smart Home Device Tracker for Q4 2024. The company led the global market in both sales volume (16%) and total turnover (22.3%), reflecting its dominance in the smart home sector.
The report, published earlier this week, highlights a 20.7% year-on-year increase in unit shipments for Roborock, solidifying its growth trajectory. The brand’s success has been particularly pronounced in the United States and China, while also securing the top position in sales volume and value in multiple European and Asian markets, including Denmark, Finland, Germany, Norway, South Korea, Switzerland, and Turkey.
Expanding in Key Markets
IDC attributes Roborock’s success to its strategic expansion into developed markets with high demand for advanced smart home technology. The company has focused on a balanced distribution strategy, strengthening both its online and offline presence to maximise returns on its intensive research and development (R&D) investments.
Another key factor driving Roborock’s performance is its diverse product portfolio, which spans entry-level, mid-range, and premium price segments. The brand has continued to push innovation, with its flagship OmniGrip robotic arm representing a significant leap in automated home cleaning solutions.
Innovation Recognised at CES 2025
Roborock’s industry leadership was further reinforced at CES 2025, where the company won several prestigious awards for its newly launched Saros series. The lineup includes the Roborock Saros 10R, Saros 10, and the Saros Z70, the latter being hailed as the most advanced robotic vacuum cleaner of the year.
The Saros Z70 is the first mass-produced robotic vacuum to feature OmniGrip, a revolutionary five-axis foldable robotic arm. This cutting-edge technology enables the device to clean areas that were previously inaccessible while also performing small household tasks such as picking up lightweight objects (under 300g), including socks, tissues, small towels, and sandals.
Future Prospects
As the demand for intelligent home automation continues to rise, Roborock appears well-positioned to maintain its leadership in the sector. The company’s strong R&D investments, global expansion strategy, and commitment to innovation have solidified its reputation as a pioneer in robotic cleaning solutions.
With its growing presence in both established and emerging markets, Roborock is expected to continue driving industry advancements while expanding its share of the competitive smart home technology sector.
